RUTLAND Chimney Sweep® Rectangular Wire Cleaning Brush is designed with the DIY homeowner in mind. This chimney brush can withstand a vigorous cleaning and help keep your chimney and home safe.

Made with sturdy, oil-tempered spring wire, this brush will last for a long time and make quick work of any chimney cleaning project. Clean out soot, creosote, and any other buildup in a masonry chimney to increase efficiency and safety.

For best results, choose the brush size that matches the inside measurements of the chimney flue. (Use a poly brush for chimneys with metal flue liners.) The brush has a male 1/4" NPT threaded connector for attaching to rods and pull rings.

Make sure that fire is completely extinguished and the chimney is cold along its length before you begin. Wear appropriate eye protection, gloves, and an approved dust mask. Cover fireplace or stove opening and all items in work area. The most effective methods for cleaning are the Top-Down or Bottom-Up methods, using RUTLAND Extension Rods. Always work brush up and down several times as needed. Soot and corrosive debris from cleaning may cause damage. Be aware of electrical and fire hazards. Safety precautions should be used while working on roof. Use caution when handling brushes. Wire can injure eyes and puncture skin. An annual inspection and cleaning by a certified chimney technician is highly recommended.
