RUTLAND Log Bright® Gas Log Soot Remover on gas fireplace logs to safely remove and control future soot buildup, giving them a "like new" appearance. Easy to use, this spray-on cleaner does not require scrubbing or wiping off. Use on vented and vent-free liquid propane and natural gas units. Will not discolor ceramic logs or harm burners. Do not use on white or fiber logs.

Turn on gas and allow enough time for the gas logs to become hot, approximately 15 minutes. Then, turn off gas before applying Gas Log Soot Remover. Wear protective gloves and eyewear. Use adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapors.
Set spray nozzle to mist setting. Spray Gas Log Soot Remover directly on hot gas logs at the site of the soot buildup. Soot will fall off. After spraying, do not wipe the logs. No waiting period necessary before relighting the gas logs. Excessive accumulation of soot may require an additional spray treatment. For hard-to-reach, confined areas, use the stream setting on the nozzle.
